Cosima Treadwell

Founding attorney, nursing and health-profession licenses

Cosima defends nurses and other health professionals before their licensing boards, and set up the firm so every stage has a fixed fee.

Before law school, Cosima worked as a registered nurse on a medical-surgical floor. She learned how a chart gets written at 4 a.m., what a short-staffed shift looks like on paper, and how a calm account of one night can read very differently to someone who wasn't there.

She founded Treadwell Faraday so licensed professionals could know the cost of a board matter before it began. She takes nursing, advanced practice and allied-health files, and she reads every new file before it's assigned.

Working with Cosima

Cosima starts every file the same way: she reads the complaint twice, the first time as the board and the second as you. Then she calls you with a list of questions, and nothing goes to the board until you've checked every date and every name in it.

She keeps the plan in one page that you can read in five minutes. It says what the board asked for, what we'll send, what we won't, and what the next stage would cost.

Away from the office she coaches a middle-school robotics team and keeps a very old sourdough starter alive.

Book a video call with Cosima

Bring the letter and the deadline. You'll leave with a written read of it and a fixed quote for the next stage.

A call doesn't make us your lawyers; a signed engagement letter does. The fees page lists what each stage costs.
